The Rangers just finished off their four game series against the Cleveland Indians, and what a way to finish it!

For the first time this season, the Rangers truly looked like the championship team they can be. This was the first time the Indians had been swept this season, and to add insult to injury, two of the games were shutouts! While most analysts are blaming the Indians, and saying they just played poorly, I think they are just taking credit away from the Rangers.

The Rangers outscored them 24-6 in this series! That is not because the Indians just weren't playing well. The Rangers had the urge to win, so they got out there and proved it.

The Rangers now stand at 34-27 for the season, still leading the A.L. West. At this rate, I can easily see a return to the World Series.

The Rangers have rallied, and have been impressive against the Indians so far. Coming up to a 31-26 record finally opens up a tiny amount of breathing room for the team.

I know this only gives them a little more than a two game lead over Seattle, but it seems like this is the first step in getting into stride. I know the Rangers can play at the top of their game in June, so I suppose we'll just wait and see if that continues.

As for what we can do better? Well, there's a lot of room for improvement, but what do you all think about the team so far?

by RangerFront @ 6/1/2011 3:05:01 PM

The Rangers currently seem to be holding an A.L.West lead, but only on a week by week basis.

While many teams are starting to make strides ahead of the 2nd ranked team in their divisions, The Rangers have been holding a very tiny lead for weeks. Their wins are just slightly ahead of their losses. The only other division as close as the A.L.West's 1st and 2nd is the N.L.West.

Simply asking opinions on this one, do you all think it is going to be a back and forth throughout the season, or at some point, will we hit the afterburners and take a comfortable lead?

Both Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz were announced as having returned to the Rangers' lineup today.

Taking almost the entire six weeks estimated, Hamilton is excited to be back. Lucky for fans, this comes at a time where the team really needs a little boost. Losing 3 of the last 4 and only holding the A.L. West lead by barely one game, the Rangers needed something to stop the rut, and fast.

I think we're all excited to see the pair back in the game. As long as they play as well as they had been, I see no problems at all in taking the division by storm.
